Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know about ordering, testing, storage, and shipping.
Quality & testing.
What does HPLC tested mean?
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is the analytical standard for quantifying peptide purity. Each Northstar lot is independently tested by a third-party accredited lab and certified ≥99% pure before release.
How do I get a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Every order arrives with a digital COA matching the exact lot delivered. You can also access historical COAs in your account dashboard or browse our public COA library.
Are your peptides synthesized in the US?
Yes — all Northstar peptides are synthesized in our ISO-certified US facility under cGMP-aligned protocols. We do not white-label imported product.
What if my batch doesn’t meet the COA spec?
We replace any lot that fails to match its published COA spec free of charge. Email Northstarlabss@gmail.com with your order number and we’ll resolve within 24 hours.

How long does shipping take?

Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. Northstar currently ships only within the continental United States.
What is your shipping cost?
Standard shipping is $12 flat. Orders over $200 ship free. Refrigerated/expedited options available at checkout.
Can I cancel or modify an order after placing it?

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes — institutional and recurring volume customers can email Northstarlabss@gmail.com for tiered pricing.
Handling & storage.
How should peptides be stored?
Lyophilized vials should be stored at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted, store in the refrigerator at 2-8°C and use within 30 days.
How do I reconstitute a peptide?
Use bacteriostatic water (BAC water) injected slowly down the side of the vial. Do not shake. Swirl gently and allow to dissolve fully. Try our free Peptide Reconstitution Calculator.
Why does the powder look clumpy or yellowish?
This is normal. Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides can appear as a clumped pellet or fluffy powder. Color may range from pure white to off-white depending on the peptide. It will dissolve clearly when reconstituted.
What is the shelf life?
Lyophilized peptides stored at -20°C remain stable for 24+ months. Each vial is labeled with its specific exp date based on third-party stability data.
Compliance & regulation.
Are these peptides FDA approved for human use?
No. All Northstar products are research chemicals labeled “For research use only — not for human consumption“. They are not approved by the FDA, EMA, or any regulatory body for human use, and shipping for any other purpose is illegal.
Do you provide dosing or medical guidance?
No. Northstar is a research supply company and we do not provide medical, dosing, or therapeutic advice. Always consult a licensed medical professional.
Can institutions buy without a tax ID?
Yes for retail orders. For tax-exempt institutional purchasing, email Northstarlabss@gmail.com with your tax-exempt certificate.
